How are chemical peels performed?

The team at Saba Med Spa performs chemical peels by applying a medical-grade chemical solution to your face's surface. Several applications may be used and left to remain on for several minutes. Once the chemical solution is removed, the old skin will slough off over the coming days.

During the peeling phase, your skin will become rough and dry. The old skin will begin to crack and fall away as the new skin underneath starts to show through.

As the outer layer of skin peels away, the fresh skin may look shiny and pink. This skin will also look soft, tender, and sensitive to touch. It may feel as if the skin has been sunburnt.

Do chemical peels have side effects?
